6 New York pizzerias selected by Italian pizza authority for list of best in the world

50 Top Pizzas, an Italian pizza authority founded by a group of food and beverage journalists, released its annual list of the best pizzerias in Italy, Europe, Asia and the United States, and five New York City pizzerias were named among the 100 best in the organization. selections.

As for the pizzeria that can be called the best in the world? Well, 50 Top Pizzas couldn’t choose just one. Co-honors go to 10th Italian pizzeria Diego Vitagliano and I Masanielli–Francesco Martucci. Both locations were also crowned co-champions earlier this year on the list of Italy’s best pizzerias.

Completing the top 10 were: Spain’s Sartoria Panatieri (No. 3); Japan’s The Pizza Bar at No. 38 (No. 4); I Tigli from Italy (No. 5), Seu Pizza Illuminati (No. 6), 50 Kalò (No. 7), 180g Pizzeria Romana (No. 9), I Masanielli–Sasà Martucci (No. 10); and the Chinese Bottega (no. 8).
